A++++ for Productivity

I was suuuuper lazy this morning but I turned it all around this afternoon. Guess I just needed a hot boba milk tea in my system :)

Amidst the productivity, I got suuuuuper emotional. A little awkward tearing up in a boba cafe but whatever. I read a new custom order request--he wanted me to add a name to the inside part of the earmuffs. I just started tearing up. I don't know... the requests for custom paintings & sewn goodies allow me to participate, recreate or capture a very intimate moment between friends & strangers. I'm just very overwhelmed. I'm sort of providing a way to make their love or gratitude tangible/huggable, and if that isn't the greatest honor then I don't know what is.

The Books & Near Death Experiences

armed with my usual pot of genmaicha tea, i sewed like whoa at casbah cafe, my sliverlake coffee shop of choice. boo on you intelligentsia!

i sewed an H, a mustached S, a whale & an elephant in one afternoon! my reward: toffee + candied pecan & madagascar vanilla gelato with a sampling of sea salt caramel gelato at pazzo. yum!

then it was off to the books for the ultimate reward :) this song is one of my favorites to see live.

on my last day, i started matt's custom order as rachel drew plans for a fancy garden. then, kevin treated me to a fancy dinner. whuttaguy!

This Little Piggy...

was very hungry. One could even say he was hankry.

So he visited the only girl he knew who could help him.

She fed him with the softest polyfil one could purchase at Michael's, and had him drink the finest teas in all of Manzanita St.

Feeling sufficiently full, he basked in the sunlight and admired the crawling ants on the grapevines & hard working architects, graphic designers & screenwriters in the house.

Surprised by the heat wave in the middle of November (c'mon LA!?), he fell asleep in the hammock and dreamt about flying.
