A Whale with a Story to Tell...

Monday, May 04, 2009

About his fear of water.
Never learned how to swim, but remembers his father:
"Swish your tail and flick your fin!
Your fears may be strong but don't give in."
What the whale felt but never did share
Is how much he longed to be in the air.

Away from his embarrassment and the fish-tank seas
He wiggled his way to the tops of the trees.
Humbug, he thought, how tedious of a chore!
So he wandered the office for a desk or a door.
"The window!" he exclaimed, "Will do just fine.
For viewing the birds and smelling the pine."

And there he sits to his heart's delight
dreaming of flying and the like.

thanks for the fotos, rachel!

This is one of my class assignments. It was supposed to be three henchmen attacking a little old lady but then one of my classmates said the doorway looked like a book and walla! here it is!
