Progress Report #2: Cigarette

The Orchestra Came BACK!!

I was already up in the condo when I heard the sweet sound of opera in the air. I looked out into the city from the balcony and saw the source... Live music in the park across the street! Ang libre-libre! Maganda naman! Two free symphonic concerts in one week! I felt like I was in NYC enjoying the summer concerts! Well, I guess it is summer here. Tomorrow marks the Philippines' summer equinox. I will do a bunch of balancing yoga poses to celebrate the day :)

On another random note, I was very productive today! I swam, did an hour & half of yoga, sewed, painted, went to a concert, ate an ice cream sandwich from a vendor (they use pan de sal here it's weird), and overheard someone sing all the small things by blink 182. Of course, I joined in! Na na na naaa na nananaaaaahhh. Oh, and I heard Brian McKnight's greatest hits for the second time being here. I don't understand!!

Tree a Day #19: NEW PAINTING in progress :)

I am so so so SO excited about how this one is turning out. Two hours well spent! :D While sitting in the neighborhood coffee shop painting this, the filipino version of James Marsden sat next me. Needless to say... AWESOME times a million.

The Orchestra's Coming to Town!

Happy happy day! I bought new lenses & a year supply of contacts for 150 bucks, ate delicious halo-halo at Razones (everyone should eat there... SO GOOD) and bought a new pretty sketchbook by chronicle books (see below!)

Aaaaand I sketched looooooads! There was an orchestra in the mall practicing for their evening performance. FREE BEAUTIFUL MUSIC! It was such fun sketching the musicians. My optometrist actually spotted me and watched me draw for a while, haha.

Tree a Day #18

I really need a new sketchbook. Drawing on the inside cover is too much. Anyway, saw a tree today that looked like two but was actually one and it gave me an idea for a new tree house painting! Here's the rough sketch. It comes from the heart. I'm so excited to paint it :)
